About Elle.
I am an Australian Italo-phile, living in Tuscany, Italy with my husband and sprightly toddler. I have been in the counselling field since 2015, and have facilitated sessions with a vast range of people, of varying demographics and ages. I have been involved in social housing, case management, assisting people who have experienced substance abuse and addiction, counselled within the context of an eating disorder and body image support community, have led group-based therapy and conducted one-on-one sessions in private practice.
As a counsellor, I am keenly interested in how we locate truths for ourselves amongst the various spheres of our lives. The kinds of stories we tell and are told are a quotidian reality. In session with people, I lean towards a narrative, person-centred approach when it comes to the reviewing the frameworks of our lives, and often refer to attachment therapy to help uncover the origins of our themes. Even so, I pull from different counselling modalities in order to complement the individual. With, not for, people, I explore alternate story-lines that shatter hard realities and open up new realms of supple thinking and believing for themselves.
